Turtles Freezing Solid and Bouncing Back? Wild!

You guys, I just watched probably the wildest thing. I mean, we’ve all seen critters in the snow, but have you ever seen a turtle literally defrost and then just… swim away like nothing happened?

This BBC Earth clip is mind-blowing. These painted turtles actually let themselves freeze solid and then come back to life when things warm up. My brain just can't quite process it. Like, how does that even work?!

It’s a super short video, but it's one of those things that makes you go, "Nature is absolutely bonkers." Definitely worth a quick watch if you need a dose of impressive animal resilience!
