Okay, so I just watched this super interesting 'Deep Look' video about what some folks call 'meat bees.' You know, those yellow and black striped little guys that seem to show up uninvited at every summer BBQ? Turns out, they're not actually bees, but Western Yellowjackets!

The video explains why they're so drawn to our picnics and how they're actually pretty important to the ecosystem, even if they are a bit of a nuisance sometimes. It's a quick watch, but I learned a lot about their life cycles and why they get so aggressive at certain times of the year. Definitely makes you look at them a little differently!
