Making Wood Art with Electricity? Whoa!

Okay, so I stumbled across this video and my jaw kinda dropped. You know how sometimes you see something and you just think, 'how did they even come up with that?' This is one of those times. They're literally using electricity to burn designs into wood, and the results are pretty wild.

It's called 'electro-spalting' apparently, and it creates these intricate, almost fractal patterns. I mean, I'm usually happy just getting a clean cut on a piece of wood, and these folks are out here making art with lightning. Definitely not something I'd try at home without knowing exactly what I was doing, but it's super fascinating to watch.
