DIY Sensory Fun: Button Box for Little Hands
March 19, 2026
Okay, so I stumbled upon this video and immediately thought of all our little ones who are constantly exploring with their hands. This creator made a tactile button-box for her toddler, and honestly, it's genius! She just used a bunch of different buttons, switches, and even a light, all mounted on a board.
What I love about it is how simple the concept is, but the engagement for the kiddo is just off the charts. You see her little one pressing, flipping, and just generally having a blast discovering all the different textures and sounds. Plus, it looks like a pretty affordable project if you've got some spare bits and bobs lying around.
Definitely something I'm bookmarking for a rainy day project. It's a great way to encourage fine motor skills and sensory exploration without a ton of screen time. Check it out!
